Searching for a hire studio with a cool vibe in Manchester City Centre ?
Studiomanchester is a unique centrally located Manchester hire studio facility with a Manchester One post code, superbly situated less than 1mile from Manchester’s thriving City centre, just 5 minutes from Oxford Rd station and close to the A57 Mancunian Way. There are numerous hotels, cafes, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Situated amongst restored cotton mills and close to Manchester Metropolitan University the studio is in a former industrial area close to the place where, in the 1820’s Glaswegian inventor Charles Macintosh created a new waterproof textile combining cotton milling with the new rubber smelting techniques.
We have two studios available. Studio A, the larger one is approximately 1200 sqft with a white cove, overhead shooting platform, meeting room, mezzanine space overlooking the studio and has double door, drive in access to the street for convenient loading and unloading
Studio B is approximately 465 sqft and is suitable for fashion shoots, portraits, still life, castings, fittings or interviews.
Both studios are self contained with their own separate entrances, makeup areas, WC and kitchen facilities and they are networked with both wireless and hard wired fibre optic broadband.
The studios are also a popular venue for training workshops and seminars.
We are able to offer simply studio space in which to create or full shoot production. Please see our Production page for information
To cater for the resurgence of interest in analogue media we have an Imacon Flextight 848 film scanner available to hire in our Town House
We have recently converted part of the Town House next door into a compact space available for hire. Our Townhouse is a flexible space which is available either in part or as a whole .The studio measures approximately 3m x 4m , 130sqft and is suitable for table top, casting, fittings or portrait projects. We have a modern boardroom space plus a comfortable lounge area.
The premises either in part or whole could easily be adapted as a Unit base for film & TV production whilst shooting in Central Manchester.
Our founder, Sandy Cecil-Oakes, has over 30yrs experience working within the creative industry and will be happy to offer any advice and support.
